High-Speed Gearless Traction Passenger Elevators
Delta’s high-speed gearless traction elevators are ideal for high travel and frequent use applications such as high-rise residential buildings and office towers.
The heart of the high-speed traction elevator is the gearless machine, located in a rooftop penthouse. Gearless technology combines high speed with a smooth quiet ride, accurate levelling, and energy efficiency through precisely balanced counterweights.
Modern high speed gearless traction elevators use a double wrap roping system to reduce vibrations and extend wire rope life. In addition, the variable voltage, variable frequency (VVVF) drive provides excellent ride quality, while the tapeless positioning system provides accurate floor levelling.
Delta Elevator uses proven components throughout its high-speed gearless traction design:
- GAL or MCE controllers, which have proven track records of reliability, are upgradeable, easily serviced, and fully supported for all maintaining contractors.
- Imperial or Torin gearless machines are both well-respected manufacturers that have been supplying superior elevator components for many years.
- The Delta entrance system and applied cab finishes come standard on our our gearless traction elevators. They are designed and manufactured in-house and fully meet all Code requirements for safety and accessibility.
